Our society president Elaine Dean has spoken out about the valuable work we are doing within the communities we live and work during the Coronavirus pandemic.
From our work with our community hubs making sure the most vulnerable have access to food and essentials and our urgent food bank appeal, to speaking about our connection and recent donations to food redistribution charity FareShare and our charity partner Dementia UK, supporting the work they do.
Talking about our urgent food bank appeal Elaine said: “We want to thank you all for your help with this. Since the lockdown we have seen over 60,000 donations to our food bank collection points. Food banks are more important now than ever before and thank you so much to everyone who has donated.”
