A trio of funeral homes in Cambridgeshire joined together to donate a sack full of toys to a charity that supports children and young people who have a lost a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.
Central England Co-op Funeralcare homes in Hunstanton, Wisbech and Kings Lynn dug deep to collect and present the amazing donation to Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
Inspired by the experience of Army widow Nikki Scott, the charity honours husband Corporal Lee Scott’s memory – both as a loyal soldier and a loving father – and provides a practical yet personal way for the public at large to show their appreciation for those brave individuals who make the ultimate sacrifice in the service of their country.
Funeral Director John Barry said: “They were overwhelmed with the toys and would like to thank everyone for their contributions.
“Thank you to all those that contributed in Hunstanton, Wisbech and Kings Lynn - it was amazing what you all did as it will now make many children's lives much happier this Christmas.”
