Central England Co-op has teamed up with a Market Deeping-based estate planning law firm to broaden its offer to Society members in these uncertain times.
The Society, which has over 260 food stores and offers funeral services across 16 counties, has partnered with Will & Probate Services to offer Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration services to its thousands of members.
Established in 2005 by Managing Director Nick Ash, Will & Probate Services started life as a two-person team in a small office in their local business centre, providing Will writing and probate services to the local area.
Fast-forward 15 years it now has a core team of a dozen staff at its head office with branches in Peterborough, Manchester, Harrogate, Surrey, Bristol, and Cambridge.
For Central England Co-op, the partnership means it can widen its offer to its members and give them the opportunity to plan ahead for their future and have peace of mind with access to specialist advice from trusted professionals.
Hazel Moss, Head at Funeral at Central England Co-op, said: “We deal with grieving and bereaved clients every day and so we understand how important it is for families to put in place Wills or Lasting Power of Attorney.
“We know that people find it daunting to discuss such sensitive issues, but we also hear the regret that families encounter when the worst happens. Clients find it refreshing to contact our funeral homes to discuss setting up a pre-need funeral plan as they are talking to someone who takes the time to understand their wishes.
“Now we have a trusted partner in Will and Probate Services we are able to extend the service to include Wills, Power of Attorney and estate planning. As a reward for members and colleagues we are happy to include a member benefit of up to £15.
“All it takes is a free telephone consultation to get you started. You will receive expert advice and competitive transparent pricing. If you go on to establish a Lasting Power of Attorney, you can save a further £20.”
For Will & Probate Services, the new partnership has already created additional employment within the team and is expected to create an additional 10 -15 jobs over the course of the next year.
Managing Director Nick Ash said: “My mission 15 years ago was to build the best known, most trusted legal brand in the UK. Over the years, we have invested in our staff so they can offer advice not only on general Wills but also in specialist areas such as blended families, Islamic Wills and planning for the parents of children with disabilities.
“Our niche is planning for later life and dealing with people’s affairs after they have passed away and we have established a reputation for being open and honest with a transparent pricing structure.
“To be given Trusted Partner status by one of the UK’s best-loved brands is a huge step towards our goals.”
