We are appealing for budding musicians to win a chance to have their songs played in stores across the country.
We are launching the competition to help lift the lockdown gloom and shine a light on the talent of our Members and customers.
All people have to do is submit their entry on Twitter using the handle @mycoopfood and #coopradiostar and we will pick the best one and play their track to those out shopping for vital food and essentials in the coming weeks.
Brad Tuckfield, Central England Co-op store manager, said: “Our instore radio is a great way to keep colleagues, Members and customers entertained, especially during these uncertain times.
“With that in mind we thought it would be great to try and shine a light on some of the talent out there and offer a budding singer or band the chance to have their track heard by thousands of people across the country.
“And who knows, this might be the lucky break the winner needs to get noticed and set on the road to fame, fortune and success.
“So what are you waiting for? Send us your track to @mycoopfood on Twitter using #coopradiostar and keep your fingers crossed.”
