Thousands of our frontline colleagues took a pause to have a ‘brew’ during Mental Health Awareness Week.
The Big Brew saw every frontline colleague across the Society receive a Fairtrade tea bag to help them take part, which was part of a pack offering hints and tips on how to get support if they need it.
This comes as part of ongoing work by ourselves to tackle the issue of mental health as part of a long-term commitment aimed at raising awareness about mental health problems.
It was great to see so many of our colleagues take part and take the much-needed pause to discuss mental health and the challenges currently being faced during these uncertain times.
Special mentions go to our Bentley Heath Food Store which really got into the spirit of the week, decorating their office with bunting and balloons, as well as plenty of green ribbons – the international symbol of mental health awareness.
Also, to our Smalley Drive store in Oakwood, Derby, where colleagues dressed in pyjamas for the day to raise awareness, raising a smile with customers, boosting morale and highlighting the important cause.
